Guardianship Seminar & Ad Litem Certification

The Forum/Assembly, Two Allen Center, 11th Floor
4 Hours CLE, Ad Litem Certification*
HVL often sees either parents looking to obtain guardianship of their disabled child who is turning 18, or adult children seeking to help an elderly parent. As of September 1, any attorney filing an application for guardianship must be certified by the State Bar of Texas. This course provides that certification. The seminar is free if you accept a pro bono guardianship case though HVL.*

Family Law Seminar
October 30
8 am to 4 pm
South Texas College of Law
6.5 hours MCLE
Join HVL for its Annual Family Law Seminar and learn the basics of handling a family law case.  This year’s seminar will cover two new and exciting topics: collaborative family law and the effect of the recent SCOTUS same-sex marriage ruling.  The seminar is free if you accept a pro bono family law case though HVL.  The registration fee is otherwise $150.
