There is an immediate need for pro bono attorneys this weekend.
First, as you may (or may not) know, Montgomery County’s flood victims have not been receiving the same level of service other areas have received. A Disaster Recovery Center has just opened at the Friendship Center, 31355 Friendship Dr., Magnolia, Texas. They need immediate assistance from pro bono attorneys who can provide legal advice and other assistance. Lone Star Legal Services will be there assisting. If you can help, contact Heather Keegan at HKegan@lonestarlegal.org.
Another immediate, urgent need is for bi-legal (Spanish speakers) to assist a group of Hispanic Montgomery County residents whose entire neighborhood was wiped out. There are some English speakers in the group, but the need is great for Spanish proficient attorneys. The legal clinic will be held on Sunday, September 10 from 3-5 at the Gerald D. Irons, Sr. Junior High School, 16780 Needham Road, Conroe, Texas 77385. Please volunteer to assist your community. Contact Sonia Lopez at SLopez@lonestarlegal.org if you can help.
Thank you for serving your community.
