Flood Relief–Neighbors Helping Neighbors-Lone Star Legal Aid Volunteer Clinics

Many of our neighbors in Montgomery County have become instantly homeless, losing basic possessions, food, and other precious items, as well as losing their sole means of transportation since the floods in April.  In addition to staffing FEMA and Red Cross disaster relief centers, Lone Star Legal Aid is setting up Disaster Recovery Clinics throughout the area to help individuals who need legal information and advice relative to home repair fraud, insurance claims process, replacing lost documents, hurricane preparedness, renter’s rights and school rights.  A list of the upcoming clinics is below; however, if you are interested in volunteering your time, contact Dana Bias at dbias@lonestarlegal.org or 800-354-1880 ext. 1522.  Neighbors helping neighbors indeed.
