VP Website/ President Elect
Heather Bustos is a regulatory compliance attorney and owner of Bustos Law Group. She assists both U.S.-based and international companies with FDA and FTC compliance in the areas of food, dietary supplements, pharmaceutical drugs, medical devices, cosmetics and import/export. With a passion for helping businesses succeed and grow, she has assisted numerous FDA-regulated businesses with guidance on product marketing, importation, distribution and manufacturing requirements.
Heather joined the WBA in 2020 as VP of website and assists with ensuring our members are updated on the WBA’s events, CLEs and community service opportunities. Heather enjoys cooking, reading, running, watching documentaries and spending time with her husband, son, and dog, Loki.
Jennifer is the co-founding partner of LeMaster & Ahmed PLLC where she practices personal injury and insurance law. She assists accident victims and insurance policyholders when their claims are denied or underpaid.
Jennifer serves The Woodlands Bar Association as the Co-VP CLE. She coordinates and plans CLE events for WBA members and the community.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her two daughters and her husband. She also serves on the board of an adoption-related charity, Pathways for Little Feet. She coaches mock trial for middle school-aged children. She is also an avid cook, snow skier, hiker, runner, Peloton enthusiast, and lover of the outdoors.
Jerry Porter represents clients in the area of family law. He is an experienced litigator and negotiator.
His primary focus is on family law and it includes property settlement, modification and enforcement of child support and conservatorship, with a special emphasis and training in collaborative family law.
Jerry is a member of the American Bar Association, The Texas State Bar, the College of the State Bar of Texas, The Woodlands Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Conroe Chamber of Commerce and the International Association of Collaborative Professionals. He is a founding member of the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas.
Beth Crawford is a Senior State Content Editor for Thomson Reuter's Practical Law where she creates Texas content. Beth joined Practical Law from Lone Star College System where she was Acting General Counsel. Previously, she was litigation counsel at Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP, concentrating on commercial litigation and appeals. Before that, she clerked at the Texas Supreme Court and First Court of Appeals where she later served as a Senior Staff Attorney. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Lone Star College teaching Business Law. Beth is a member of the Texas State Bar Rules Committee.
Co-VP Community Affairs
Tiffany Guerra is an associate attorney with Seiler Mitby, PLLC. She has been practicing with the firm since 2017, handling matters including estate planning, probate, guardianship, and trust administration. Tiffany works closely with administrators, executors, guardians, and trustees, providing them with the advice and direction needed to carry out their roles. In addition, Tiffany represents clients in contested probate and guardianship matters—including the prosecution and defense of fiduciary claims.
She joined the WBA in 2020 as the Co-Vice President of Community Affairs, organizing and participating in pro bono projects and community service outreach. Tiffany enjoys cooking, cycling and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
Kristen Bates is a Senior Associate Attorney at The Strong Firm P.C. where she practices Commercial Litigation, Commercial Disputes, Business Law and Contracts, and Real Estate. Kristen joined The Strong Firm P.C. as an experienced associate in August 2017. Prior to joining The Strong Firm P.C., she was an associate attorney at Hughes Watters & Askanase, L.L.P. in Houston where she represented business clients in civil litigation, real estate and bankruptcy matters. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center.
Kristen is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western, Southern, and Eastern Districts of Texas. While a student at the University of Houston Law Center, Kristen competed on the University’s Moot Court Team and served as a contributing editor to the Houston Law Center-based Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law.
In addition to her practice, Kristen takes an active interest in serving her community and spending time with her family. She has been a member of the Woodlands Bar Association since 2017 and joined the Board in 2019 as a Social Co-Chair.
